Abrasives

Ceramic abrasives also known as stones are the simple and inexpensive alternative for processing teeth, composite or ceramic materials, but also metal alloys. 2 grits are available for abrasive shaping and smoothing, in flame, needle and round shapes.

Ceramic abrasives made of silicon carbide (green) are used for the processing of precious metals and especially for the grinding of ceramic materials.

The white Arkansas abrasives (stones) made of alumina are used for grinding and shaping of fillings, especially made of composites. They have the following features:
  • The abrasives can be individually shaped with simple tools. This results in a wide range of applications.
  • The versatility and comparatively inexpensive abrasives guarantee a high cost-efficiency
  • The white color does not bring any contamination when preparing fillings.
